Chickpeas are a representative selection of the Greek Mediterranean diet with great nutritional value. They are rich in protein, iron, phosphorus, magnesium and zinc. They also contain calcium, potassium, B vitamins as well as vitamin K. The added benefit is that they are low on the glycemic index, meaning that although they are high in carbohydrates, they do not tend to raise blood sugar.

The product with the protected name "Fenou Vanilla Beans" has organoleptic characteristics that distinguish it from other beans (see the relevant recommendation of the European Commission) and make it particularly attractive to consumers, thanks to its sweet taste, its ability to cook quickly and taken after cooking seeds intact and complete with soft flesh without separating from the shell.

In the Feneo region of Corinth with its rich mythology and at an altitude of 900 meters, the local growers have lovingly produced, for many generations, the Lathuri from which the Feneo Fava comes. Fava beans are extremely rich in nutrients, necessary for our body to function properly. At the same time, consumption adds minimal calories.

Feneo Giants are of similar quality and nutritional value to Feneo Vanilla beans, since they are grown in the same environment, on the same soil, in the same traditional way and ultimately get the same effects of the microclimate in the region. The giants have the same beneficial effects as the rest of the whites. Antioxidants, vitamins and trace minerals such as copper, folate, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium and zinc can be mentioned as examples.

Lentils are a good source of iron and contain more than half of a person's daily intake of iron in a one-cup serving.

For this reason and in accordance with the principles and philosophy we work with, we decided to include the legume in question in our codes, in collaboration with specific producers in Thessaly.
